Some Questions & Answers

The one-lane road that runs by Ranchito San Pedro with the ancient cottonwoods.

Next to the cabins - my studio, which is available to my painting guests. Above, the pigeons fly..

The cabins...

The cabins began their lives as a turkey barn and outbuilding which was later converted to a working studio for Joe DiGangi, who built superb knives. After purchasing the property I used my architectural knowledge to convert the studio spaces to two roomy and 4-room private cabins. with bathrooms and bedrooms placed at opposite ends for privacy and a connecting laundry room - and lots of character. This was my dream!

Cabin #1

Cabin #1 is fun and whimsical tuned offhandedly to the old southwest with reminders of cowboys, cowgirls and the 50's. The open living area contains a TV/VCR and a futon couch for extra sleeping space as well as a full kitchen with microwave and french press coffee maker! The separate bedroom sports a quilt covered double bed. In the attached studio are tables, full spectrum lights, north windows and a skylight as well as an extra futon couch. Adjoining the studio is the laundry room with washer/dryer. An east facing enclosed patio space provides a private outdoor "room" with an adjacent fenced yard for your dog. Gay community most welcome!

Cabin #1 - casual with an old 50's western flair

Cabin #2

Cabin #2 is sunny and so comfortable. From the curved stepped half wall with its nicho and hidden bookcase to the drop leaf pine table, care has been taken to create a cozy yet functional living space. The living area features a TV/VCR, desk, futon couch for an extra sleeping area and comfortable reading chair. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, french press coffee maker, stove/oven and spice rack. The adjacent south facing studio is flooded with sunshine in the winter but sheltered from the high New Mexico summer sun. There is also an extra futon couch.. The laundry room adjoins the studio. A paisley comforter covers the queen sized bed next to an old wood wall in the bedroom. And your dog will enjoy the secure dog door in the bedroom and the private kennel yard behind the cabin. Gay community most welcome!
