Jan’s Words: On my wedding day in March, 2012 I took a photo of the wonderful plants that surrounded the little wooden shelter where Frank and I said our vows – just behind the main restaurant at Papas de Paramo. We were just above the river. Later I looked at the photo and the wonderful shadows and shapes in the leaves and thought, how lovely. And this is one of the paintings that emerged. It is abstracted a bit with shapes and colors that move through and around. And then there it is. The river below.
