Costa Rica Paintings (2008 – 2018)

Costa Rica offered a new chance and some startling changes for Jan Hart in 2008. In studying her new surroundings she developed a passion for finding the sometimes evasive colors among the prevalent lush greens – in flowers, reflections and subject matter. Her camera came in handy with subject matter everywhere and subjects that were often in motion! In addition to her continued focus on colors and color relationships she became obsessed with how to describe the depth of layers – in the jungle as well as the sky. Her popular Intensives at her home became her way to study and express her Pura Vida life. This collection of her Costa Rica paintings includes some of her most personal works.
