This Informational Slide Show makes sense of the artist’s choice of paints and colors for a particular painting. Jan points out that every artist uses a color scheme whether it is identified or not. With eight different color schemes shown, she goes on to explain how she decides on a particular color scheme for a painting as well as showing the results of that selection. Included are paintings by other noted artists with identified color schemes.

While you move through the slide show you can pause to read and study the photographs as well as listen to Jan’s unhurried and thorough explanations about what you are seeing and reading.
