Jan’s Words: One of the several paintings of the blue leaves that I saw lining the Coast highway along the Southern Pacific edge. They appeared a pale blue in direct sun and one could find just about every other color as they moved in the breeze. What I called ‘the dancing stroke’ became a favorite way to deal with the myriad of leaves and layers of leaves in the cluttered forest background. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of painting the Blue Leaves….
