Jan’s Words: One morning I turned around from the outdoor studio to see a lovely cast shadow of one of the palm tree fronds draped across the entry to Frank’s house. It was a perfect photo, complete with some heliconia leaves in the foreground. Painting it was another story entirely as the graceful frond leaf shadows moved from turquoise painted wood to golden stained paneling to scarlet red concrete. A complex tribute to a beautifully complex person. Frank.
