Jan’s Words: This painting is the first one I did of this particular white cow, peeking out of the woods. It was such a joy to paint and enhance the white, using soft transparent paints – Rose Madder Genuine, Cobalt Blue, Aureolin Yellow. I felt I could almost touch the soft muzzle of the cow. Though I painted most of in 2016, I left some of the fine details out. I was able to finally enjoy finishing it in 2018.
