Jan’s Words: One of the first plants I found in La Bonita nursery in town was this hibiscus. Whenever one of the buds opens there appears to be a pinwheel of sorts that lasts only for a brief time in the morning. Finally I got a photo! Such a joy to paint! And another joy to witness this happening over and over again right in my front yard.
