Jan’s Words: After swimming in the warm Pacific, we sat and just painted whatever was in our view. My students and I were simply enjoying the moments. Of course there was a stand of my favorite blue leaves – so I began there and was enjoying a return to a pointillist method in the background. Then I added a bit of glazing on a small square watercolor paper. My finished painting became one I set up where I could see it at home. Simple. Direct. Unassuming. I loved it!
