Jan’s Words: Such a simple and ubiquitous subject here in Costa Rica. The jungle leaves are everywhere. And the cast shadows upon the sun lighted leaves are ever changing and often suggesting that the shadows themselves are alive. Bits and pieces of sunlight as colored jewels add to the magic of the jungle. That is what I painted.
