Jan’s Words: What can I say about this painting except that it expresses exactly what I felt when painting it. Exuberance. The site was the plants that surrounded the little covered, open air shelter at Papas restaurant in San Ramon where Frank and I married in 2012. The plantings were varied and colorful. I did include the suggestion of one of the wood poles that helped support the shelter. And the mood all around on that day was exuberance.
