Jan’s Words: After I moved to Costa Rica at the end of 2008, I began returning each year to do yearly workshops in northern New Mexico and other places. During one of my first workshops I began with a demonstration of some of the pigments I especially liked. I quickly selected a photo of a Costa Rican orchid. As I worked I smiled to see that the leaves and background had taken on a definite New Mexico flavor. I understood that I was in transition – somewhere between New Mexico and Costa Rica.

• Painting is unframed and shipped by USPS in a sturdy cardboard shipping envelope. $15 flat fee includes mailing and insurance charges to all U.S. locations. $35 flat fee includes mailing and insurance charges to all international locations. Delivery time is 2 to 3 weeks from time of purchase to all U.S. locations.
