Jan’s Words: The painting began as a demo about how to mix a dark without getting it muddy – and it turned into an expression of the clouds that sometimes ‘walk’ the landscape with rain trailing to the earth. I especially love the contrast between the rainy underside of the cloud and its billowy top.
