Jan’s Words: There is a special place where I love to just sit, usually with a beer on ice – and paint. As I sip I can look into the jungle and paint whatever I see on a particular day. The day I painted this was definitely a ‘blue day’ and I saw the blues and also the yellows in the sun drenched jungle. I love the layers! The blue leaved plants in front. The mossy and vine laced branches just behind. The various greens and paler shapes still farther beyond. And then there is the light!
