Jan’s Words: I used this particular photo of my sweet kitty, Polly to illustrate various color schemes in my book, ‘The Watercolor Artist’s Guide to Exceptional Color’, 2007. This painting was one of the earliest paintings using a full palette of colors. I added the background awhile later making it unique among the Polly paintings. Such a wonderful cat friend she was.
