Jan’s Words: They were working on my cabinas at the time. Carlos and Jorge had stopped to talk a bit before proceding with the next part of the project. I caught the moment and for me it was important. I admire Tico talk. It is my observation–from a Gringa perspective­­­–that Ticos take their conversations very seriously, even when they are joking around or teasing each other, which is common. They listen. Sometimes arms folded and actually listening to what the other person is saying. It certainly works as an advantage for me. As I speak my sometimes halting Spanish, they earnestly listen.
